Battelle Scholars Endowment Fund at WSU Tri-Cities


Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU Tri-Cities), located in Richland, Washington, administers a scholarship established by the Battelle Memorial Institute Foundation, in the amount of $2,000 ($1,000 per semester).

Application closes at the end of January. 

Student must:

  • be pursuing a major(s) in:  mathematics, science, computer science, and engineering; or teacher education with an emphasis in STEM disciplines at the primary or secondary level; NO NURSING;
  • have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA;
  • be a new freshman in college; 
  • be a graduate of a high school or home school in Benton or Franklin County, Washington. (Running Start disallowed as must have freshman status for the entire first year);
  • demonstrate leadership abilities; and
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
